Account Manager

As an Account Manager, you enable our clients and advisors to successfully complete the evaluation and implementation of customized energy strategies. Account Managers play a crucial role in ensuring that 5 meets and exceeds expectations throughout every step of the client experience. Additionally, Account Managers provide key sales support on complex client transactions. It is imperative that anyone joining 5 can keep up with the fast-paced nature of our business while living by the company’s core values: honesty, integrity, excellence, accountability and fun. This person filling this role may work out of our Allenhurst, NJ office or in New York City.

  • Supporting team members and clients in matters pertaining to demand side management and energy efficiency projects
  • Organizing and coordinating internal resources necessary to ensure client commitments are fulfilled
  • Preparing and participating in client presentations

Skills and Capabilities

  • Team player with a high degree of empathy
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite
  • Grit and desire to exceed client expectations
  • Energy industry experience preferred but not required
  • Technical, engineering, or sustainability background (BS/MS) desired by not required
  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience
