Benchmarking

Before embarking on a program to develop an energy conservation strategy, a client must understand current energy consumption. To help clients understand their energy usage, Luthin Associates develops a historical benchmark and reviews current and historical details of the client’s energy profile. This “line in the sand” provides the basis against which future comparisons will be made.

Luthin Associates recommends that the benchmarks be developed utilizing the Energy Star Portfolio Manager. This web-based system is the industry standard for benchmarking. We are also proficient in using the Climate and Clean Air protection environmental software developed by the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI).
